What is SIPGA?

SIPGA is a prestigious program designed for international undergraduate and master’s students to gain hands-on research experience in various STEM fields at A*STAR’s Research Entities in Singapore. Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for SIPGA, you must meet the following criteria:

• Be a 3rd or 4th year undergraduate or a master’s student currently enrolled in an overseas university.
• Be pursuing a STEM degree, such as in Computing, Information Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Physical Sciences, Engineering, or Technology.
• Be on track to graduate with at least a Second-Class (Upper) Honours or its equivalent.
• Remain matriculated at your home university for the entire duration of the research attachment.
• Have proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
• Demonstrate a strong interest in research as a potential career path.

Additional selection criteria may apply as per A*STAR’s scholarship policies.

Application Process

To apply for SIPGA, follow these steps:

1. Review the SIPGA Project List: Browse the list of available research projects and select up to 3 projects that align with your interests.
2. Prepare Required Documents:
   • A copy of your passport.
   • Academic transcripts from your current degree program (in English or with an official translation).
   • An updated Resume/Curriculum Vitae.
3. Submit Your Application Online: Complete the application at SIPGA Online Application.
4. Online Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be contacted by A*STAR researchers for an interview. Only those shortlisted will be notified.
5. Award Outcome: Selected applicants will be notified of their award status within 2 months after the application deadline.

• Application Period: September 1, 2024 – November 30, 2024 (11:59 PM GMT +8).
• Research Attachments Begin: May – August 2025.
• Application Deadline: November 30, 2024, for research attachments starting in 2025.
