The Chief Minister Honhaar Scholarship Program is now accepting applications from students in their first semester, offering a valuable opportunity to support their educational pursuits.

CM Punjab Honhaar Scholarship Program Online Registration

Launched by the Chief Minister of Punjab, the Honhaar Scholarship Program aims to provide financial aid to 30,000 students annually across 68 disciplines. Over a span of eight years, the program will distribute scholarships worth 130 billion rupees, benefiting students from 50 public universities, 16 medical colleges, and 131 graduate colleges. This initiative is focused on removing financial barriers for higher education, ensuring better job prospects for Punjab’s talented youth, as emphasized by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

Chief Minister Honhaar Undergraduate Scholarship Program

The Honhaar Undergraduate Scholarship Program offers merit-based scholarships to deserving students pursuing undergraduate degrees in leading universities and colleges across Punjab. Targeting high-achieving students with limited financial resources, the program covers tuition fees, allowing recipients to concentrate fully on their studies without financial stress.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Chief Minister Honhaar Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Must hold a domicile of Punjab.
• Must not be older than 22 years by the closing date.
• The family income must be less than Rs. 300,000 per month.
• Must be enrolled in eligible disciplines in selected universities/colleges for the fall 2024 session.

Additionally, students already enrolled in the first year of MBBS or BDS in 2024 are also eligible.

Number of Scholarships

The program will award approximately 30,000 scholarships annually.

Scholarship Duration

The scholarship will cover the duration of the undergraduate degree program, which may be 4 or 5 years.

Scholarship Coverage

Under this scheme, the full tuition fees of the selected students will be covered.

Selection Criteria

Final selection will be based on a combination of academic performance, with 30% weightage given to matriculation/intermediate marks and 70% to interview results.

Application Deadline

The last date to submit applications is October 15, 2024.
